This is a unique opportunity for a lawyer to be responsible for providing legal and regulatory advice on a broad range of banking issues within the group.
Your new role
- Reporting to the General Manager of the department, you will be tasked to lead and advise on legal all aspects of the bank's day to day operations
- Provide daily advice to corporate, commercial, private and retail banking departments
- Research local laws and regulations in foreign jurisdictions and manage outside counsel..
- Negotiate, draft, and review contracts and commercial agreements.
- Develop in-house legal tools and policies, and conduct training to business units.
What you'll need to succeed
- Legal license to practice in HK or UK
- 15+ PQE at a leading law firm and / or financial institution
- Experience with managing sizeable teams
- Strong banking legal exposure
- English and Chinese is a must have
- Highly-motivated and able to work independently and under pressure
- High integrity and desire to collaborate with others.
