Financial Controller

HK Private Group - Strong family investment in properties, holdings, and trading businesses.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full spectrum of finance, including regular accounting, reporting and monthly controlling works
  • Assist as part of the senior management team in the preparation of the strategic plan, ensuring cost and profitability improvements
  • Monitor the group's taxation exposure by maintaining contact with external tax advisors
  • Ensure that adequate financing is available to group companies and that interest rates on overdrafts and general banking facilities are optionally utilized
  • To supervise the group financial accounting teams in Hong Kong and overseas staffs in China


Requirement
  • Approximately 15 years of progressive and diverse financial and accounting management experience ideally within a sizeable environment with reputable organisations
  • Some exposure to corporate finance, M&A work gained within an international professional accountancy firm or group environment would be advantageous
  • Experience gained within Hong Kong listed companies together with knowledge of Hong Kong listing rules
  • Up-to-date knowledge of regional economic and financial developments, particularly possessing the ability to interpret their impact in the Asia region
  • Good understanding of financial management issues (banking, financing, tax planning)
  • Ability to evaluate, develop and implement internal controls systems, making constructive recommendations for action
