They are now inviting senior commercial lawyers who are interested in joining their business, to be part of the senior management and to supervise their legal function.

Your new role

• As the head of legal department, you will lead a team of three in designing and maintaining the legal and compliance framework of the company
• Work closely with CEO and senior management and provide strategic legal advice, support, and solutions in the roll-out of new business initiatives and execution of projects in daily operation
• Review, negotiate and approve all kinds of commercial contracts, corporate and transaction documents for the company’s B2B and B2C businesses across Hong Kong, Macau and Greater Bay area
• Handle corporate governance and compliance issues; be responsible for the set up and implementation of policies and protocols to ensure the company strictly abide with the relevant laws and regulations
• Identify legal risks and keep the management informed; develop effective action plans and give regular legal training to staff on personal data, trade descriptions and competition laws
• Manage external consultant; supervise IP and anti-counterfeit works in the respective region

What you'll need to succeed

• Hong Kong qualified lawyer with minimum 10 years of post-qualified experience
• Solid in-house experience with reputable conglomerates in retail / technology / manufacturing sector
• Previously in a management role with the ability to develop legal strategies and objectives independently
• Strong business acumen and attention to details
• Fluent English and Chinese is required
