Our client is a leading corporation offering innovative solutions for transport & traffic for over 100 years. They are looking for hire a Sales Director to break in the transportation industry in Hong Kong.

Your new role
  • Strong focus on solution sales - prospecting and business development through working with existing clients and a focus on forming new relationships in the region, especially with decision makers to drive new leads for qualifying;
  • Expand the Sales pipeline of qualified new business, mature prospects and develop budget plans for Sales activity within the Asia region;
  • Qualify sales opportunities to identify key factors to reduce barriers to sale;
  • Develop the overall win strategy and value proposition tactics to reduce barriers to sale;
  • Identify key commercial risks and resolve them together with internal commercial stakeholders;
  • Preserve existing customers and relationships;
  • Expand existing customer relationships with portfolio verticals;
  • Lead the identification of potential partners and channels in the region working closely with system integrators and value-added resellers to prepare the point of sale;
  • Present sales presentations for clients showing the success and credibility of the business and the product portfolio at events, conferences and virtual workshops
  • Co-ordinate across multi-functional teams to achieve successful outcomes, reducing barriers to adoption of the solution by prospective clients;
  • Ensure sales data through CRM (Salesforce) management is updated and keep up to date with current market trends and customer needs;
  • Drive sales campaigns and marketing initiatives and work with the Solution Consulting team to identify regional appropriate solutions;
  • Make use of industry contacts to influence tenders and lead the participation in tender procedures in conjunction with the sales support team;
  • Support elaboration of calculation and offer, checking and reviewing all final offers;
  • Working with the Bid & Proposal Management team, support hand-overs for projects to Delivery and Operations team;


What you'll need to succeed

  • Tertiary qualification in business management, technical field or similar;
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Solution Sales within Asia, in Engineering, Automation industries
  • or similar;
  • Track record of success in deal closing and winning;
  • Experience in key account management and managing a variety of stakeholders;
  • Substantial experience and exceptional understanding of Asian business culture and how to do
  • business within the region;
  • Ability to communicate at a business level; fluent or native Cantonese preferred;
  • Strong English language verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present to
  • customers and key business stakeholders;
  • Excellent commercial awareness and acumen;
